The Center will offer a multi-disciplinary approach to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our Cancer Program is affiliated with the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, one of 69 NCI-designated cancer centers in the country. This affiliation provides St. Elizabeth expanded access to clinical trials, educational resources and research grants available to National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers.
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is a four-hospital, 1,000 bed community health system in a market of 400,000 people. St. Elizabeth is home to a Family Medicine Residency Program and, through a partnership with the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, a medical school. Through our affiliation with the Mayo Clinic Care Network, collaboration with Mayo Clinic physicians for clinical, educational and research purposes exists. Opportunities are also available for the surgeon to participate in our St. Elizabeth Clinical Research Institute.
