Poster Presentation Details:
- Posters will be displayed during breaks on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- Presenters are responsible for their own travel, hotel, and meeting registration.
Deadline for Submission: September 30, 2025, 11:59 PM CT
Acceptance/Rejection Notifications: November 4, 2025
Scholarship Opportunity:
Medical students, general surgery residents, thoracic surgery residents, and fellows are eligible for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Scholarship. The top two posters will receive:
- Complimentary registration to the GTSC Annual Meeting
- Hotel accommodations for three nights (room and tax only)
- Up to $750 in travel reimbursement
- Recognition and certificate presentation during our Saturday evening Gala Dinner
- And the opportunity to present their work during Saturday’s educational programming
Abstract Submission Platform:
GTSC uses Bravura for abstract submissions.
- If you haven’t submitted an abstract before, you’ll need to create an account.
- If you submitted an abstract in 2025, just log into your existing account.
- Once logged in, the submission form should be pretty intuitive. However, there is a user guide and chat feature if you need assistance. Do not hesitate to reach out to info@gtsc.org if you need further assistance.
Submission Guidelines:
- Format: PDF, 8.5" x 11", Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced
- Title: Capitalize the first letter of each word
- Structure: Objective(s), Methods, Results, and Conclusions
- Length: Maximum 250 words
- Tables/Graphics: One table and one graphic allowed
- Anonymity: Do not include author names or institutional info in the abstract body
- Data: When using percentages, include actual numbers
- Topic Restrictions: No primarily cardiac topics
- GTSC welcomes case reports, case series, and abstracts that may have been submitted elsewhere.
All submissions will be thoughtfully reviewed by GTSC leadership, and while we can’t guarantee acceptance, we encourage you to share your work with us.
