Poster Presentation Details

• Posters will be displayed during breaks on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
• Presenters are responsible for their own travel, hotel, and meeting registration.

Scholarship Opportunity
Medical students, general surgery residents, thoracic surgery residents, and fellows are eligible for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Scholarship. The top three posters will receive:

• Complimentary registration to the GTSC Annual Meeting
• Hotel accommodations for three nights (room and tax only)
• Up to $750 in travel reimbursement
• Recognition and certificate presentation during our Saturday evening Gala Dinner
• And the opportunity to present their work during Saturday’s educational programming

Submission Platform
GTSC has launched a brand new submission platform! All individuals will need to create an account via the REGISTER tab. Once created, the submission form should be pretty intuitive. However, if you have any questions, please email info@gtsc.org.

Submission Guidelines

• Anonymity: Do not include author names or institutional info in the abstract body or document.
• Format: PDF, 8.5" x 11", Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced.
• Title: Capitalize the first letter of each word (65 max characters).
• Structure: Must include Objective(s), Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
• Length: Maximum 250 words in total, across Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
• Tables/Graphics: One table and one graphic allowed.
• Data: When using percentages, include actual numbers.
• Topic Restrictions: No primarily cardiac topics are allowed.
• GTSC welcomes case reports, case series, and abstracts that may have been submitted elsewhere.

All submissions will be thoughtfully reviewed by GTSC leadership, and while we can’t guarantee acceptance, we encourage you to share your work with us.
