Join Our Busy Thoracic and Foregut Surgery Team!

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a full-time, dedicated (non-cardiac) Thoracic Surgeon to join our Thoracic Surgery division comprised of experienced thoracic surgeons and a team of PAs, nurse practitioners and nurses.

Candidates for this position must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and possess clinical skills in minimally invasive techniques applied to lung, mediastinum, pleural space and esophagus. St. Elizabeth’s thoracic surgery program participates in the Society of Thoracic Surgery database.

Kentucky consistently has one of the highest incidences of lung cancer in the US. St. Elizabeth performs approximately 4,000 lung cancer screenings per year and has a programmatic approach with a weekly nodule review board and a multidisciplinary clinic in a new 250,000 square-foot cancer center. Our service line also treats a high volume of esophageal diseases including achalasia, GERD, paraesophageal hernia and esophageal cancer and is able to provide a variety of endoscopic diagnostic and treatment modalities.

Research opportunities are available and supported by St. Elizabeth’s Clinical Research Institute. St. Elizabeth is proud to be a teaching institution for University of Kentucky medical students and a cadre of other allied health professional students from programs including Northern Kentucky University. It is also home to a Family Medicine Residency Program.
