The World Health Organization has declared the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a worldwide pandemic. Due to its capacity to transmit from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, the government has set recommendations, guidelines, and some prohibitions which the General Thoracic Surgical Club (GTSC) adheres to comply.  GTSC asks attendees to abide by all safety protocols implemented by GTSC, any facilities or venues at which the event is to be held, or any third-party organizations providing services, recreation or entertainment for the event.  GTSC further asks individuals who have tested positive to COVID-19, have recently been exposed to a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19, are experiencing or exhibiting any COVID-19 related symptoms as outlined by the federal and state Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) such as fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath to not attend the conference.
